Camweara alternatives: try-on alone, or try-on plus the rest

The short answer

Camweara is a specialist and a good one: virtual try-on across jewelry, eyewear, watches, apparel, hats, wigs and shoes from a single install, at the lowest entry price in its category. If try-on is the whole requirement and your catalogue is wearables, it is a strong, focused choice. Custivo also does try-on — the live camera for shoes, glasses and hats, photo compositing for jewelry and watches — and keeps going: the product also exists in 3D on the page, in the room through AR, and configurable if you sell it that way, across four storefronts rather than one.

What each one actually does

Every cell below comes from the app's own Shopify App Store listing. Where a listing does not answer a row, it says so — we do not guess on a competitor's behalf.

Priced by products, both flat

Neither app takes a cut of sales. Camweara's ladder is drawn around how many products carry try-on and climbs into the thousands; ours is drawn around scenes and includes far more than try-on at each rung.

Where Camweara is the better answer

The broadest try-on catalogue here

Jewelry, eyewear, watches, apparel, hats, wigs, shoes and bow ties from one install. If your store spans several of those, that breadth from a single vendor is a real operational advantage.

Volume at the top

Their top plan covers thousands of products. Ours does not go there, and for a large jewelry or eyewear catalogue that ceiling is the deciding number.

Focus

Camweara does try-on and nothing else, which means their roadmap, their support and their tuning all point the same way. A specialist beating a generalist at the specialism is the normal outcome, not the surprising one.

Where Custivo is the better answer

The product also exists in 3D

Try-on answers "how does it look on me". It does not answer "what is this thing" — the rotate, the close-up on a finish, the true-scale AR placement. Custivo does both from one scene, and Camweara's listing does not state a 3D product viewer.

Configuration and customization when you need them

If a customer chooses a metal, a stone or an engraving, Custivo configures it in 3D — and on Shopify and ikas the configured line goes straight into the cart. A try-on app has nothing to do with that step.

Four storefronts, including Salla

Shopify, ikas, Wix and Salla plus any other store through a script tag — Salla being the Saudi market's own commerce platform.

So which one

Both lists are honest. If the left column describes your store, install the other app — you will be happier and we would rather you found that out here than after a month of trying.

Choose Camweara if

Try-on is the entire requirement and you do not need a 3D viewer.

Your catalogue runs to thousands of products needing try-on.

You sell across several wearable categories and want one vendor for all of them.

Choose Custivo if

You want the product examined in 3D and in the room as well as on the customer.

Customers choose materials, stones or engraving before buying.

You sell on more than one platform, or your store runs on Salla.

Switching from Camweara

Depends on your assets. Try-on catalogues built from photographs do not transfer — they are configured inside Camweara — while any glTF or GLB models you hold import untouched. The honest test is one product: publish it here during the trial and compare the try-on side by side on a phone, because on this comparison the try-on quality is the thing you are actually buying.

Your glTF and GLB models import as they are — the modelling work is not repeated.

The same scenes run on Shopify, ikas, Wix, Salla and any other storefront through a script tag.

The trial is long enough to rebuild one product and compare the two side by side before you cancel anything.
