Zakeke alternatives, starting with the honest one

The short answer

Zakeke is the closest like-for-like alternative on this shelf: customization, 3D configuration, AR and virtual try-on from one install, since 2017. Buy Zakeke if your orders flow to print-on-demand fulfillers — its files reach Printful automatically, and ours do not. Buy Custivo for products with a shape: full access costs less than half of Zakeke's top plan, with no cut of sales.

What the two actually cost

Zakeke publishes three plans and charges a percentage of every order placed through the app on all of them; the percentage decreases on the higher tiers. Ours are flat, and the scene allowance on our top plan matches theirs.

Where Zakeke is the better answer

An automated fulfilment hand-off we do not have

Zakeke generates print-ready files and hands them to Printful, CustomCat and Order Desk automatically. Custivo generates the files too — a 300 DPI PDF and PNG accompany every customized order — but pushes them nowhere; a merchant forwards them. If your volume makes that forwarding a job, this row decides the comparison.

Nine years of accumulated edge cases

A customizer earns its value in details — font handling, clipart libraries, conditional rules, the seventeenth thing a customer tries to upload. Zakeke has been listed since 2017 and has had longer than anyone here to meet them.

Everything unlocked on a development store

Their free tier opens every feature on a dev store, so an agency can build and approve the whole configuration before anybody pays. Our trial is time-boxed instead, which is worse for agency workflows.

Where Custivo is the better answer

No cut of your sales

Zakeke takes a percentage of every order that goes through it, on every plan, and the only way to shrink it is to move up a tier. Custivo takes nothing. Past a few hundred customized orders a month that line is bigger than the subscription it sits next to.

Full access costs less than half

Try-on, the configurator, customization and photorealistic renders are all in our Scale plan, which sits well under Zakeke's equivalent tier while allowing the same number of products. On the entry plans the comparison is closer and Zakeke gives you more — we would rather say so.

Four storefronts, not one

The same scenes run on Shopify, ikas, Wix and Salla — the last of them the Saudi market's own app store — plus any other store through a script tag. If you sell in more than one place, this is the deciding factor.

So which one

Both lists are honest. If the left column describes your store, install the other app — you will be happier and we would rather you found that out here than after a month of trying.

Choose Zakeke if

You print, engrave or embroider your products and need files sent to a fulfiller.

Your catalogue is flat artwork on blanks rather than objects with geometry.

You are an agency that needs every feature open on a development store before a plan is chosen.

Choose Custivo if

Your order values are high enough that a percentage of each sale outweighs the subscription.

You sell something with a shape — footwear, furniture, eyewear, jewelry — and want it rotated, placed in the room, or tried on.

You sell on more than one platform — ikas, Wix, Salla or your own storefront.

Switching from Zakeke

Your models come with you. Custivo reads the same glTF and GLB files a Zakeke 3D scene was built from, so the modelling — the expensive part — is not repeated. What does not carry over is anything held in Zakeke's own format: configuration rules, print templates and design presets are rebuilt here. On a catalogue of a few dozen products that is an afternoon; on a few thousand it is a project, and you should plan it as one.

Your glTF and GLB models import as they are — the modelling work is not repeated.

The same scenes run on Shopify, ikas, Wix, Salla and any other storefront through a script tag.

The trial is long enough to rebuild one product and compare the two side by side before you cancel anything.
